Tea bowl / Tea tree ash glaze

The tea bowl by ASAHIYAKI Pottery collection, created by ASAHIYAKI craftsmen. New tea bowl glazed with ash from tea trees were fired in the climbing kiln 'Genyo'. Tea trees that are around 40 years old and have reduced yields are spared by tea farmers, but are rooted out and discarded. Asahiyaki was given a share of the plucked tea trees and burned them to produce an ash glaze.
