The shape was born from the awareness that the state of being full before the full moon is beautiful.\nI prefer to make this shape as it gives a sense of delicacy rather than a large distortion like Oribe's Kutsugata.\nThe mouth rim is made to widen slightly, but it is slightly concave in front of it. When I pull the wheel, imagine holding it up a little. The slight widening of the shape from the pool brings variety and elegance to the tea bowl. This is another distinctive feature of the potter's wheel, which is often seen in old Asahi ware, and it would be strange if it became deliberate. In this style of tea bowl, the shape naturally pools from bottom and spreads a little toward the top. The shape is just as I imagined. The expression on Kase is rich. Especially in the case of front-push type, if the pressed part is not expressive, it will not be attractive. The fact that the pressed part of the tea bowl has become such a rich scenery has also added to the charm of it.
